Nearly ten years after the term was first coined, many federal agencies have yet
to fully realize the benefits of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). While a significant number of agencies have committed to an enterprise level SOA strategy or have SOA projects underway, most are still faced with daunting challenges including aligning initiatives to business requirements, acquiring
sufficient SOA understanding and expertise, and ensuring management buy-in
and organizational commitment.
The SOA Open House provides an opportunity to learn more about the Microsoft SOA Platform, hear best practices from Microsoft customers and partners, and learn how the Real-World Service Orientated Architecture Resource Program(SRP) at the Microsoft Technology Center (MTC) can help agencies with their
SOA initiatives. The MTC provides expertise, leadership and facilities to enable agencies to accelerate their SOA time-to-value, remove traditional barriers to
SOA deployment, reduce the total cost of SOA acquisition and create custom SOA solutions.
