Proceeds from the event will benefit Creating Futures, an initiative of the CompTIA Educational Foundation that provides opportunities to individuals who have historically been under-represented in the information technology (IT) industry workforce, including veterans transitioning out of the military; individuals with disabilities; at-risk youth; and dislocated workers. Creating Futures works with employers to identify their hiring needs, then tailors education and training programs to help individuals obtain the skills employers are looking for. This outing is part of the association's annual Breakaway networking conference, August 4-7 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando.
